Daniëlle Maassen MSc
Research Technician/Communication
My name is Daniëlle Maassen and I studied Biomedical Sciences at Utrecht University and the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMCU). After finishing my bachelor’s, in 2021, I was a student assistant at for prof. Dr. Niels Bovenschen at the Bachelor Research Hub, until I started my master Biology of Disease in February of 2022. I also did first my master’s internship at the Biomedicine Student Research Hub, where I focused on the investigating immune checkpoints for Medulloblastoma. During my second internship I concentrated on developing models to assess neutrophil-induced damage in Cystic Fibrosis organoids. After I finished my master’s I happily returned to the Biomedicine Student Research Hub, where I now work as a research technician, and work on marketing and communication.
