Heggert Rebel BSc

At the Biology department of the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht I was educated and subsequently gained experience in a wide field of preclinical and patient-bound research opportunities including carcinogenesis, tumor biology, stem cell biology, 2D & 3D (live) imaging, CAR T cell immunotherapy, in vivo models and drug development located in a series of relevant institutions: Hubrecht Laboratory, UMC Utrecht, TNO Innovation for Life, LUMC, Princess Máxima Centre during 35 years. In this time I wrote 5 first-author articles, was co-author on 28 articles, developed lab-management and teaching and coaching skills. In 2022 I started in the Biomedicine Student Research Hub and I am motivated by training and coaching the next generation of students into the complexity and beauty of nature and discovery of yet unknown biology, and transferring the obtained scientific knowledge into applications beneficial for public health.
