Suzanne van Dijk BSc

My name is Suzanne van Dijk. For many years I have worked as a research technician in the Cell Biology lab off prof. dr. Judith Klumperman at the Center for Molecular Medicine of the University Medical Center in Utrecht. During this time I have gained experience in different kinds of microscopy, including electron microscopy and immunofluorescence microscopy. I love how microscopy can visualize tiny details which are not visible to the naked eye and that it enables you to study structural features and morphology. It is a valuable addition to the other techniques in the lab. Since April 2024 I have joined the Bachelor Research HUB. I really like the research based teaching setting. I enjoy the interaction with students, teaching them different techniques and helping them to develop general lab skills. While in the mean time I also try to convey some of my love for microscopy.
